Principal Software Engineer, AI

About the role

The role focuses on building and scaling AI agent systems inside an enterprise SaaS product, covering agentic logic, frameworks and the backend infrastructure needed for automation at scale.

What you will do

• Develop internal agents, LLM logic and reasoning loops that let agents handle complex multi-step tasks
• Engineer secure, high-performance full-stack web components for the enterprise application
• Manage and optimize how AI agents interface with data
• Write clean, maintainable code and lead code reviews and refactoring efforts
• Design unit and functional tests that cover both conventional code and non-deterministic AI workflows

What they look for

• Expert ability to build and orchestrate autonomous agents that plan, reason and execute multi-step tasks
• Direct experience creating the logic and interface layers that let LLMs call APIs, databases and system functions
• Hands-on skill in automated test suites that validate non-deterministic AI outputs and workflows
• Extensive experience shipping production features with LLM APIs, including context management, prompt optimization and cost monitoring
• Proficiency with MySQL and relational databases, including complex raw queries for high-scale data
• Strong knowledge of Go at scale, including concurrency, memory management, garbage collection and profiling
