Product Quality Analyst I

About the role

Test web applications, web APIs and batch systems, writing and running test cases and logging defects. Work alongside engineers and business stakeholders to keep quality high.

What you will do

• Write test cases covering business needs for web apps, APIs and batch systems of any complexity
• Run manual tests and some automated ones, and record defects in detail
• Log test cases and results in the test management system with full descriptions
• Track bugs and monitor the defect tracking system
• Work with engineers, analysts and business stakeholders on quality
• Suggest creative fixes that improve the client experience

What they look for

• At least one year of manual or automated testing experience
• A knack for finding software flaws and pushing engineers to fix them
• Familiarity with quality assurance methods and the software development life cycle
• Knowledge of the Gherkin test format
• A self-directed, innovative mindset and interest in current trends

Nice to have

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS or computer engineering
• Exposure to user interface work, billing or payroll modules, or data import and export files
