What you will do

• Answer inbound and outbound calls and emails with accurate information for customers
• Call patients and caregivers to arrange, confirm and follow up on medical visits
• Coordinate, schedule and reschedule appointments according to patient needs
• Keep detailed records of interactions, appointments and communications
• Verify eligibility, billing and prior authorizations, and handle equipment insurance processes
• Review benefits, coverage, deductibles, copays and coinsurance

• Proficient written and spoken English
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients, vendors and teammates
• Familiarity with insurance portals, EMR or EHR systems and billing or authorization tools
• Careful attention to detail and accurate record keeping
• Good organization and problem solving, with the ability to juggle tasks and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook

Nice to have

• Experience with eligibility checks, insurance billing and prior authorizations
• Knowledge of durable medical equipment and its insurance processes
• Background in urgent care, a medical office, equipment supply or similar setting
• Understanding of benefits, coverage, deductibles, copays and coinsurance
