Remote Hospice Triage Registered Nurse

About the role

Provide after-hours phone triage for hospice patients and their families, assessing needs and coordinating timely care. The role is remote with weekday daytime shifts.

What you will do

• Triage hospice patients and families by telephone
• Assess conditions and decide appropriate next steps
• Coordinate care and resources with on-call teams
• Document all communications and interventions accurately
• Stay calm and professional while handling urgent calls

What they look for

• Active multistate registered nurse license
• Comfort with technology and electronic medical records
• Fast, accurate typing of documentation in a busy setting
• Ability to manage stress and multitask at high call volumes
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently with reliable internet

Nice to have

• Hospice, palliative or end-of-life care experience
