Research Postdoctoral Fellow

About the role

A fixed-term postdoctoral role on an interdisciplinary team studying precision health, genomic screening, disease prevention and health economics, using large health datasets and advanced analytics.

What you will do

• Run independent and joint research projects within the team's programmes
• Analyse large healthcare datasets such as electronic health records and claims
• Carry out statistical analyses and health economic evaluations
• Build and refine machine learning models and generative or agentic AI applications
• Publish results in peer-reviewed journals and present at scientific conferences
• Help with grant development, manuscript writing and collaboration with partners

What they look for

• Doctoral degree in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, data science, informatics, computer science, economics or a
• Solid quantitative and statistical analysis skills
• Experience with statistical programming such as R, SAS, Python or STATA
• Proven scientific writing ability
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team

Nice to have

• Interest or experience in health economic evaluation and decision-analytic modelling
• Experience with machine learning and AI engineering, including generative and agentic systems
• Experience analysing EHR, claims, registry or other large health datasets
• Interest in precision medicine or risk-stratified screening and prevention
