Retirement Plan Operations Specialist

About the role

Learn the full process of administering, testing and reporting on 401(k) plans, growing from document review to handling basic plans. Help clients with year-end reporting needed for government filings.

What you will do

• Gather information from clients to prepare annual reporting
• Check client documents for completeness and accuracy
• Reconcile plans involving rollovers and plan stock using spreadsheets and administration software
• Run 401(k) testing and reporting in administration software
• Send reminder calls and emails to clients during the reporting cycle
• Prepare government filings such as the annual 5500 return and explain plan administration to clients

What they look for

• One to five years of back-office financial operations experience, such as benefits administration or money movement
• Ability to explain complex topics in simple terms
