Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Build and run the AI behind client products, taking LLM applications from demo quality to dependable production. You own reliability, cost and real client value end to end.

What you will do

• Build and ship LLM applications, retrieval over messy real data, agents and tool calling
• Own production systems end to end and fix them when they break
• Implement evals, tracing, observability and guardrails against hallucination and prompt injection
• Track cost and latency per task and apply caching, routing and right-sized models
• Work within the lead engineer's architecture guidelines and flag problems early
• Translate AI capability into client value and push back on AI for its own sake

What they look for

• Production experience shipping LLM and GenAI systems people actually use, including retrieval, agents and tool calling
• Strong Python and familiarity with the modern AI stack, including provider APIs, vector databases and orchestration
• Reliability and LLMOps skills such as evals, tracing, guardrails, prompt versioning and cost budgets
• Ability to tell valuable AI from hype and explain it to non-technical clients in strong English

Nice to have

• Data or BI background or consultancy experience
• Cloud and deployment experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, Docker and CI/CD
• Model distillation and structured outputs
