Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Own the data infrastructure of a platform that turns insurer policy documents into searchable records. Act as technical lead for scraping, LLM extraction and deployment reliability.

What you will do

• Grow and maintain the scraping platform that gathers policy data from many insurers
• Raise scraper throughput and dependability while keeping extracted data accurate
• Run the scraper pipeline from raw ingestion through to storage
• Create LLM workflows that turn unstructured policy text into structured, searchable records
• Tag related medical codes and classify whether procedures are covered by each payer
• Build evaluation and test harnesses that track output accuracy

What they look for

• At least five years of backend engineering on production systems in Python
• Practical deployment of backend services on AWS, GCP or Azure
• Track record of code review and architectural ownership on a shared codebase
• English at C1 level for daily calls with US-based founders
