Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Engineers here build the services behind a platform that lets teams release software and AI safely and observe it in production. The role owns complex backend work from early problem framing through live operation.

What you will do

• Take charge of large or unclear backend efforts, splitting them into milestones and aligning partners
• Build, test, ship and run production APIs and services that stay secure, observable and easy to maintain
• Weigh tradeoffs among scale, speed, reliability, security, cost and maintainability, and explain them
• Spot architectural risk, slow spots and operational gaps, then push lasting fixes
• Guide technical direction inside the team and sometimes beyond it

What they look for

• Background with cloud platforms, distributed systems, developer tooling, SDKs, data infrastructure, observability or AI agent systems
• A record of delivering high impact backend work end to end
• Comfort making technical judgment calls and communicating them clearly
• Collaborative style with a strong sense of ownership
