Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

You will own the data infrastructure end to end, scaling scraping systems and building language model workflows that turn payer policy text into structured, searchable records for customers.

What you will do

• Improve scraper reliability and throughput while keeping data accurate
• Own the scraper pipeline from ingestion through storage
• Build language model workflows that convert unstructured policy text into structured records
• Infer and tag related medical codes and classify coverage status by payer
• Create evaluation and testing harnesses to measure output accuracy

What they look for

• Five or more years of backend engineering on production systems in Python
• Hands-on deployment and operation of backend services on a major cloud provider
• English at C1 level for daily video calls with US based founders

Nice to have

• Building language model extraction or classification with evaluation harnesses
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation pipelines
