Senior Construction Project Manager, Fire Station Projects

About the role

Public buildings like fire stations have to open on time and on budget, with every code approval and payment tracked. The job is to keep scope, money, schedule and quality aligned across the whole build.

What you will do

• Oversee cost control, scheduling and quality from design through final closeout
• Check that funding and authorization are in place, then track cash flow and financial performance
• Handle RFI tracking, contract documents, change order reviews, payment reviews and forecast schedules
• Secure jurisdictional approvals and confirm the work meets applicable codes and standards
• Lead technical staff, inspectors, consultants and support staff, and push punch list items to a timely finish

What they look for

• Public sector construction experience in Washington with city, county or government facilities
• Fire station or public safety facility work within the last five years, backed by positive client references
• Full lifecycle management of complex capital projects, from planning and design to construction and closeout
• Skill in estimating, scheduling, cost control, change management and financial reporting
• Experience procuring consultants and contractors: scopes, evaluation, negotiation and performance oversight

• Able to spot risks early and propose alternative ways forward
• Comfortable running several projects independently while meeting scope, budget, schedule and quality targets
