What you will do
- Create and look after scalable pipelines and reusable datasets in a Databricks lakehouse
- Ingest, clean, validate and reshape structured and unstructured data with Python, PySpark and SQL
- Build models and reporting datasets for Tableau and tools such as Spotfire
- Link existing warehouse and reporting systems to modern cloud analytics platforms
- Raise pipeline reliability, data quality and processing speed
- Set up automated tests, monitoring, documentation and CI/CD, and mentor other engineers

- At least seven years in data engineering, with production pipeline work
- Solid SQL and a grasp of data modeling, database design and warehousing
- Strong Python and PySpark skills
- Background in ETL or ELT pipelines and combining data from several sources
- Experience preparing dependable datasets for Tableau or similar BI tools

- Spotfire, Oracle, Informatica, R or data virtualization experience
