Senior EHR Integration Specialist

About the role

A hands-on senior role focused on building secure, repeatable links between a health platform and outside clinical record systems, and on setting patterns others can reuse.

What you will do

• Build, test and run production connections to external clinical record systems
• Guide the rollout of SMART on FHIR apps into Epic clinical workflows
• Set up launches that pass patient, encounter and user context
• Create FHIR R4 exchanges for clinical and administrative data
• Design OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect flows that meet SMART on FHIR rules
• Diagnose faults in launches, authentication, API access and data exchange

What they look for

• Ability to assess complex integration needs and advise on technical options without close supervision
• Skill in writing and reviewing implementation code through to production delivery
• Experience acting as a technical authority across engineering, product, security and compliance
• Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR and CDS Hooks for interoperability
• Familiarity with APIs, FHIR servers, middleware, translation layers and integration monitoring
• Understanding of data mapping, normalization, validation and semantic interoperability
