Senior IT Security Engineer

About the role

Shape security capabilities and strengthen protection across complex IT environments, combining hands-on technical work with specialist leadership. The role covers monitoring, detection, incident response and security systems engineering.

What you will do

• Investigate complex alerts and lead high-impact incidents while improving threat coverage and alert quality
• Design maintainable automation and system integrations that cut repetitive work
• Advise on architecture, access management and security exceptions, and contribute to policies and guidance
• Mentor other engineers, manage vendor relationships and improve security awareness through metrics

What they look for

• Substantial hands-on IT security engineering or security operations experience, including leading complex investigations and incident respon
• Strong detection engineering across SIEM, IDS and multiple telemetry sources, with tuning to raise coverage and cut false positives
• Practical experience architecting and supporting security controls in complex IT environments
• Vulnerability management, security assessment and remediation experience
• Ability to build maintainable scripts, automation workflows and system integrations
• Sound judgement on security risks involving access management, exceptions and architecture
