Build and maintain Java backend services and microservices with Angular front ends for clients in retail, manufacturing, finance and banking. The role covers scalable design, clean code, deployment automation and mentoring.
What you will do
- Develop and maintain Java backend applications and microservices with attention to performance and reliability
- Write clean, well-tested code and optimize performance
- Build asynchronous, event-driven systems that scale and stay decoupled
- Design and maintain relational database integrations that keep data consistent and responsive
- Take part in architecture discussions, review code and guide junior developers
What they look for
- At least five years of backend development experience with Java 8 or newer
- Strong skills with Spring Boot and the wider Spring ecosystem
- Strong skills with Angular 19
- Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful microservices
- Ability to write efficient SQL queries and work with databases
- Working knowledge of Apache Kafka or similar messaging systems
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of performance tuning and monitoring for Java applications
- Understanding of backend security best practices
- Experience with Node.js and related UI tooling
