Senior Product Design Engineer

About the role

Own core product surfaces from first sketch to production-ready components, combining product design judgment with hands-on design engineering.

What you will do

• Own core product surfaces such as booking flows, scheduling primitives and team surfaces
• Build and test working prototypes in code using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and v0
• Design, build and own components rather than relying on third-party libraries
• Improve the open-source component library by auditing gaps and landing new primitives
• Maintain tokens, spacing, states, dark mode and motion, and apply animation with intent
• Hold the accessibility bar for keyboard paths, focus management, semantics and contrast

What they look for

• A product designer at heart who now does their best design work in code
• Ability to hand off primitives that product engineers can use directly
• Experience designing and engineering well-considered components yourself
• Judgment about when motion clarifies and when it distracts
• Ownership of outcomes, from framing hypotheses to reading results
• Strong written communication suited to an async, remote team
