Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Retail DEX)

About the role

A backend engineering role on a team that runs the data and trading systems behind onchain trading in a consumer app used by millions of traders. The work spans off-chain and onchain systems to give users one smooth trading experience.

What you will do

• Add new blockchains, decentralized exchanges and launchpads to the main app so traders can reach more onchain assets
• Design and build in-house smart contracts for trading features such as DEX aggregation and advanced order types
• Scale real-time data pipelines handling over 100K messages per second with millisecond latency
• Tune the whole trading stack for fast execution, optimal fills and broad asset coverage
• Push forward agentic-first development patterns and self-improving tooling that speeds up the team

What they look for

• Five or more years in backend engineering, with a record of building and running production data systems or pipelines
• Hands-on design of data-intensive systems and integration with large-scale infrastructure such as Kafka, Clickhouse, Starrocks, Temporal and
• Experience designing and integrating onchain smart contracts on EVM chains such as Ethereum or Base, or on Solana, with deep knowledge of th
• A record of building, iterating on and improving agentic-first code repositories and production systems
• Uses generative AI responsibly, keeping human oversight and delivering business-ready results
