Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Join autonomous product teams to build and scale email, SMS and automation tools, shaping architecture and code quality for growing customer bases.

What you will do

• Build event-driven microservices and APIs within a distributed system
• Develop dynamic web apps using React, Node.js and Backbone.js
• Work on AWS infrastructure including EC2, ECS, SNS/SQS, RDS and Elasticsearch
• Create event streaming and big data solutions with Kafka and Spark
• Guide architecture choices and improve code quality through reviews and mentoring
• Own problems end to end, from scoping and tradeoffs to long-term upkeep

What they look for

• At least ten years of software development experience
• A computer science degree or equivalent extra industry experience
• Fluency in two or more languages, ideally C, Java or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Comfort using AI-assisted coding tools with sound judgment
• Knowledge of several storage engines and when to use each
• Data-driven mindset and strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

• Experience with event streaming and stream processing such as Kafka and Spark
• Infrastructure as code experience, particularly Terraform
