Senior Software Engineer, Storage

About the role

Builds and runs exascale infrastructure for AI research, covering distributed systems, large scale storage and compute orchestration. Helps researchers focus on innovation instead of infrastructure.

What you will do

• Design, build and run distributed systems handling data, compute and networking for large AI workloads
• Create software and automation that orchestrates work across thousands of GPUs and petabytes of storage
• Work with AI and ML research teams to turn their needs into scalable high performance solutions
• Improve reliability, performance and observability of systems to exascale standards
• Partner with security, networking and platform teams on robustness and compliance
• Take part in design reviews and architecture discussions that shape the infrastructure stack

What they look for

• Hands on experience with high performance storage such as Lustre, GPFS or BeeGFS and schedulers such as Slurm, Kubernetes or LSF
• Familiarity with cloud environments and infrastructure automation tools

Nice to have

• Experience building or maintaining infrastructure for AI and ML research
