A field engineer who takes public safety projects from sales through to service, deploying dispatch, mobile and records systems. The role owns project scope and interfaces and works closely with project managers and customers.
What you will do
- Coordinate and carry out customer installation work within tight timelines
- Gather customer requirements and explain technical details to all levels of an organisation
- Install, integrate and deliver defined solutions within product and interface limits
- Identify product defects and track fixes through to customer acceptance
- Record billable hours for work completed and train new team members
- Travel to customer sites when needed
What they look for
- 4 or more years in systems integration, software engineering, product development, system test, support or IT
- Experience with Windows Server 2019 or newer and SQL Server 2019 or newer
- SQL scripting with T-SQL and proficiency in XML, XPath and XSLT
- General networking knowledge and strong software and IP network troubleshooting
- Willingness to travel and to keep learning on the job
Nice to have
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Public safety experience
- Familiarity with packet capture tools
