What you will do

  • Process complex investment activity and fix errors inside the investment subledger database
  • Check subledger data for integrity and prepare monthly and quarterly workpapers and disclosures
  • Review general ledger entries and reconcile trial balances, including SEC, GAAP and NAIC statutory reporting
  • Help with cash balancing and coach less experienced colleagues in the department
  • Support management on projects and process improvements

  • At least five years of directly related experience, plus a bachelor's in finance, accounting or a similar field, or equivalent work
  • Solid grasp of accounting concepts and prior work with investment accounting systems
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Able to research and settle issues using your own judgement, and to meet deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work alone or on a team

Nice to have

  • CPA or MBA, or six years of related experience
  • Experience with data analytics and data-informed decisions
