Software Engineer II, Backend (Online Storage)

About the role

Build and scale managed cache services that store data for many internal services. The role covers migrations, production operations and self-service automation for mission critical infrastructure.

What you will do

• Build and scale cache services on Redis and Valkey, owning migrations end to end
• Productionize clusters with capacity planning, failover, replication and staged rollouts
• Replace manual cache requests with automated, audited self-service workflows
• Operate the fleet in production, defining SLOs and alerting for key risks
• Advise client teams on caching strategy such as key design and timeouts
• Break larger projects into tasks and deliver them in phases with the team

What they look for

• Experience building and operating backend systems at scale
• Hands-on knowledge of Redis or Valkey and related database systems
• Ability to collaborate with product, design and analytics partners
• Comfort with on-call duties and production monitoring
• Strong communication and project breakdown skills
