Software Engineer III, Full Stack

About the role

Build, improve and support full stack software behind healthcare products and services. The work centres on Ruby on Rails and React across services, APIs, frontends, databases and integrations.

What you will do

• Build backend services and APIs with Ruby on Rails
• Develop frontend applications with React, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Create and consume REST APIs and integrate internal and external services
• Work with relational databases and SQL, and with Kafka or similar messaging
• Write automated tests, review code and take part in an on-call rotation

What they look for

• Two to five years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent
• Hands on Ruby on Rails application development
• Frontend development with React
• Working knowledge of Ruby, JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience building or consuming REST APIs
• SQL and relational database knowledge, plus automated testing and Git familiarity

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor
• Healthcare experience
• Knowledge of FHIR, HL7v2, Mirth Connect or EHR and EMR integrations
