Software Engineer (Python or Go)

About the role

An engineering role building large scale data collection systems and delivering custom datasets for clients in finance, energy and industrial sectors, with ownership from requirements to delivery.

What you will do

• Build scalable crawlers, scrapers and parsers that handle millions of requests
• Take ownership of client projects from requirements through to dataset delivery
• Write reusable Python or Go code with AI-assisted development tools
• Connect scraping solutions to databases and data pipelines
• Review code, resolve issues and adapt solutions as requirements change

What they look for

• Strong backend development in Python or Go, or substantial web scraping experience
• Knowledge of scraping, parsing and headless browsers
• Independent ownership, clear communication and a pragmatic delivery approach

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL or ELT pipelines, Airflow, Dagster or Spark
