SQL Developer, AI Prompting and Context Engineering

About the role

A dual role split between AI-assisted development and agent orchestration, and SQL Server work supporting a large data migration, reporting to the Software Manager within the development team.

What you will do

• Use AI coding assistants across generation, refactoring, testing, documentation and review
• Craft prompts, system instructions and reusable context that yield consistent AI output
• Design agents and multi-agent workflows with task breakdown, tool use and human checkpoints
• Wire agents into internal systems, databases and APIs via MCP or function calling
• Assess AI output for accuracy, regression, cost and latency, then refine workflows
• Build and maintain scalable T-SQL solutions for cleansing, migration and reconciliation

What they look for

• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools and effective prompting, backed by concrete examples
• Substantial SQL programming and strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later
• Experience with Git and version control, with close attention to detail
• Ability to investigate problems independently and communicate clearly in writing and in person

Nice to have
