Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA

About the role

A senior quality engineering role supporting a ground-up native rewrite of a retail mobile app in Swift and Kotlin. The person sets the frontend quality bar and builds the test infrastructure that many product teams rely on.

What you will do

• Build and scale automated regression test systems, deciding what to automate versus keep manual for regression, performance and release gati
• Lead QA readiness for the phased rollout, clarifying success metrics, resourcing and operations
• Judge when to add testing resources and when returns diminish
• Work with engineering leaders, product and design to set SLOs and quality dashboards that guide rollout speed
• Create a QA onboarding playbook for product teams moving to native, set the hiring bar and mentor engineers on test architecture and native
