About the role

A staff engineering role building backend infrastructure for an AI security product that monitors AI assets, assesses risk and enforces safe deployment.

What you will do

Design, build and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs
Optimize database schemas, queries and data storage
Partner with frontend engineers to connect user interfaces to server logic
Take part in code reviews and shape architectural choices
Debug, troubleshoot and upgrade existing systems
Deploy and run backend services on cloud platforms and contribute to microservices

What they look for

Eight or more years of backend development in Node.js and TypeScript
Hands-on database management experience
Experience building and integrating APIs, including RESTful design
Experience designing and implementing microservices
Knowledge of scaling and performance work such as caching, queues and distributed systems
Familiarity with authentication, authorization and data protection, plus strong problem solving and teamwork

Nice to have

Familiarity with GraphQL
