Staff Platform Engineer

About the role

A hands-on engineering role where you build and run shared platform infrastructure, delivery pipelines and security controls that product teams consume directly. Success is judged by how easily other engineers can adopt what you ship.

What you will do

• Build the runtime layer, including container orchestration and strong isolation between client engagements
• Create reusable infrastructure as code with versioned templates and clear state boundaries
• Automate environment creation and teardown so a pull request merge builds and a deletion destroys
• Design federated identity and network edges with audited just-in-time privileged access
• Operate shared delivery pipelines with pluggable quality, security and AI governance gates
• Instrument services with telemetry, service-level objectives and per-engagement cost tracking

What they look for

• At least ten years in software, platform or infrastructure engineering or a closely related field
• Hands-on infrastructure as code at fleet scale, such as Terraform or OpenTofu with Terragrunt
• Production experience running multi-tenant Kubernetes with GitOps and admission policy
• Ability to make architecture decisions through spikes and proofs of concept
• Comfort reviewing designs and pull requests and writing architecture decision records
• Track record of driving platform standards across product teams
