Strategic Project Lead, Legal Expertise

About the role

A full-time remote role leading complex legal and data projects for AI organisations. The position blends legal domain knowledge with end-to-end project delivery and stakeholder coordination.

What you will do

• Lead complex projects from initial scoping through execution to final delivery
• Turn customer needs and strategic goals into structured plans with milestones
• Design workflows for legal research, contracts, litigation, regulatory and compliance work
• Coordinate legal experts and operations staff on annotation, review and evaluation
• Own client communication on scope, quality, timing, progress and risk
• Build quality-control procedures and remove delivery bottlenecks

What they look for

• A JD or equivalent law degree
• At least two years in legal practice, research, regulatory or compliance work
• At least two years leading complex projects or operational workflows
• Strong project management and legal domain knowledge
• Confident stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication and close attention to detail

Nice to have

• Background in legal research, contract analysis, litigation or regulatory work
• Experience with legal, technical or data-intensive projects
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning organisations, annotation or human-in-the-loop systems

Pay

USD 400,000 to 550,000 per year
