Accounting Advisory Manager, CFO Advisory

About the role

Lead client engagements that tackle complex accounting problems, improve financial reporting and meet changing regulations. The role sits in a national advisory practice serving many industries.

What you will do

• Run several client engagements at once and act as the main trusted contact from start to finish
• Help clients make financial close faster, more accurate and better timed
• Support accounting transformation work such as cash to accrual shifts, opening balance sheets and purchase accounting
• Guide audit readiness and coordinate with external auditors
• Lead technical projects on complex standards including ASC 480, 606, 718, 805, 815 and 842
• Advise on IPO, SPAC and SEC reporting, and prepare statements, memos, reconciliations and filings like 10-Q and 10-K

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Five or more years in public accounting, advisory or industry accounting
• Experience serving SEC registrants, public companies or private equity backed organisations
• Solid technical accounting knowledge and interest in researching complex issues
• Strong project management and communication skills, with willingness to travel about 25 to 40 percent

Nice to have

• An active CPA licence is strongly preferred
