Area Business Manager

About the role

Lead a team of sales managers to grow revenue and business in an assigned territory while keeping key customer relationships strong.

What you will do

• Manage and support a team of sales managers to hit revenue and receivables targets
• Build annual operating plans and give weekly, monthly and quarterly forecasts to the head of sales
• Plan travel, entertainment and promotional activity for the territory
• Handle key customer relationships directly with little support from sales managers
• Coach sales managers on products, commercial skills and processes
• Support HR in recruiting strong talent

What they look for

• At least twelve years in medical devices, or selling medical devices or specialty pharma, ideally dental and at a multinational
• At least five years managing people and teams
• Good communication and negotiation skills and ability to run a large territory independently
• Ability to spot business opportunities and act to capture them
• Strong stakeholder management and skill in handling individual customers and key accounts
