- Interview and shadow operations teams to map their day to day work
- Mine ServiceNow ticket data to find frequent manual tasks and size their effort
- Rank automation candidates by ticket volume, risk and operational impact
- Write Ansible playbooks and roles for common maintenance and deployment tasks
- Build Terraform infrastructure as code for repeatable provisioning
- Maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines that package, test and roll out automation

- BA/BS or equivalent plus 6 to 8 years in automation, DevOps or platform engineering
- Experience mining ticket or incident data in ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool
- Comfortable gathering requirements from operations teams through interviews and walkthroughs
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux administration, storage and backup
- Scripting in Bash, Python, PowerShell or similar
Nice to have
- Containerization and orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes
- ServiceNow and Power BI reporting or dashboards
