Civil Engineer (EIT)

About the role

The role applies core engineering methods to investigate structural and building damage, establish causes of failure, and design restoration and repair solutions for residential, commercial and industrial sites.

What you will do

• Investigate building and structural failures to establish the root cause of damage to structures, foundations and building envelopes
• Record site conditions through scaled sketches, measurements, evidence collection and photographs
• Use survey, monitoring and measurement equipment, and interview contacts to gather background information
• Research codes, standards, technical literature and best practice guidance, then analyse data and draft technical reports
• Design restoration and reconstruction works, including permit applications and repair scope cost estimates
• Handle assignment records, referrals and follow up with claims adjusters while delivering responsive customer service
