Cloud Engineer (Tech Lead)

A senior cloud role modernising the platform behind a health device app used by millions. The work focuses on infrastructure as code, safe deployment and shared technical standards across teams.

What you will do

• Own and develop the cloud and backend roadmap with clear priorities and trade-offs
• Drive cross-team architecture decisions to closure and document them
• Set shared technical standards that let teams work autonomously
• Work hands-on with AWS and Terraform, reviewing designs and pull requests
• Coach and pair with engineers to spread knowledge and grow ownership
• Move the platform toward automated infrastructure, safer releases and stronger observability

What they look for

• Senior engineering experience with AWS and Terraform
• Ability to lead through influence rather than hierarchy
• Experience modernising a live platform without a big-bang rewrite
• Strong stakeholder management and alignment skills
• Comfort balancing product, regulatory, security and cost concerns
