CNC Field Service Technician

About the role

You will travel to customer sites to install, troubleshoot and repair CNC machine tools and controls, working from home each day and covering a regional territory.

What you will do

• Visit customer facilities to install, fix and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
• Research machine issues using online manuals, technical documents and vendor resources
• Complete and submit accurate documentation on repair and installation status to the office and customer
• Promote and carry out preventive maintenance and provide after-sales technical support and training
• Keep up to date knowledge of the machine tool industry and the product lines represented

What they look for

• Demonstrated mechanical and electrical repair or engineering ability
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and schematics
• Excellent technical, communication and presentation skills
• Ability to regularly lift 40 to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work flexible hours and travel frequently across a regional territory

Nice to have

• CNC repair background
• Software experience such as Microsoft Office
