Satellite Operations Platform Manager

About the role

You will connect spacecraft in orbit with the operations team and wider engineering and business groups, turning customer contracts into working operations. The role covers commissioning, the move to nominal operations and preparing for a growing fleet.

What you will do

• Lead cross functional teams through commissioning and anomaly reviews, reporting progress to management
• Track operational performance against contract requirements and coordinate support for shortfalls
• Make operations systems and processes scalable for fleet expansion
• Brief management on commissioning status and contractual performance
• Join customer meetings on anomaly investigations and track issues to closure

What they look for

• Five or more years in satellite operations or another high reliability setting such as aerospace or defense
• Working knowledge of satellite subsystems and ground system functions
• Experience solving complex problems across multiple systems
• Track record of building operational processes for technical and customer needs
• Engineering degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical or computer science
• Strong communication and teamwork, comfortable with ambiguity and fast change

Nice to have

• Direct on orbit commissioning or mission operations experience
• Familiarity with ITAR and EAR regulations

USD 131,000 to 190,000 per year
