Suits someone who has run complex electrical or industrial builds and can keep scope, cost and schedule in line while dealing with clients and permitting agencies.

What you will do

• Own the schedule, scope and cost for each assigned project from start to finish.
• Look for savings and check that any material swaps are equivalent.
• Write the project management plan and the fee budget or proposal at kickoff.
• Push permit documents through local, state and federal agencies so approvals stay on time.
• Prepare cost and revenue projections and review job costs with the cost management group.

What they look for

• Experience managing complex electrical or industrial construction projects.
• Able to travel semi-locally a couple of days each week.
• Has prepared project management plans and fee or budget proposals before.
• Knows how to track scope and recommend changes when it shifts.
• Familiar with the permitting process and able to keep it moving to meet deadlines.

A typical week

• Most of the week is remote project work, with a few days out visiting sites.
• Meetings with the client and project team to align on goals and action plans.
• Checking budgets, estimates and job cost reviews with cost management colleagues.
• Following up on permit submissions with local, state and federal agencies.
