Credit Risk Oversight Manager

About the role

A second line of defence role overseeing credit risk across a growing consumer lending portfolio, providing independent assurance and challenge to first line borrowing teams.

What you will do

• Monitor credit risk continuously by analysing how existing lending products perform and refining monitoring metrics
• Feed findings into relevant committees and forums and support credit strategy changes, new launches and pilots
• Deliver data driven insight, feedback and counter proposals that help management make decisions and improve customer outcomes
• Run second line assurance work on thematic reviews
• Work with model validation and development teams to understand the models behind credit strategies
• Contribute credit expertise to strategic projects, stress testing and forecasting, and help embed the credit risk framework

What they look for

• Proven experience in consumer credit risk with a willingness to dig into detail and analyse data
• First hand understanding of how credit portfolios behave across the credit cycle
• Hands on experience shaping or overseeing lending strategies
• A collaborative style and comfort working with a wide range of stakeholders
• Ability to provide constructive challenge backed by analysis
