Customs Brokerage Representative III

About the role

Carry out advanced customs brokerage work so imported shipments clear on time and in line with regulations. The role involves auditing import paperwork, classifying goods and supporting government agency requirements.

What you will do

• Prepare and file customs entries accurately and on schedule
• Track and follow up on clearance for all assigned entries
• Review and validate commercial documents against customs rules and customer needs
• Classify merchandise under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule for correct duty assessment
• Coordinate freight movement and delivery to designated sites
• Resolve billing, finance and accounting reconciliation issues tied to customs transactions

What they look for

• High school diploma, GED or international equivalent
• Knowledge of customs operations, customs law and government agency requirements
• Basic understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule classification system
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams
• Accurate, efficient data entry and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear verbal and written communication and ability to meet tight deadlines

Nice to have

• One or more years of experience with a customs broker
