Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

A cybersecurity engineering role supporting several security initiatives across the organization. The engineer handles daily operations and engineering work that lowers risk and matures the security program.

What you will do

• Define and maintain system security needs across development, risk assessment, design, testing and hardening
• Anticipate and support security integrations for applications, cloud and platforms with core security technologies
• Work with technical teams and cloud providers so results meet requirements and follow security best practices
• Automate security testing, identity, cloud and secure configuration baseline monitoring
• Develop and enforce cloud security policies and manage solutions protecting cloud applications, data and infrastructure
• Run cloud security assessments and audits to find and reduce risk

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, defined as four years in a corporate setting
• Three years as an information security engineer or in a related field
• Hands-on experience configuring SSO and step-up authentication, including federation services
• Familiarity with cloud security technologies, platforms, frameworks and compliance standards
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to identity team members and business staff
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and independent learning of new tools

Nice to have

• Experience with server security and system hardening
• Knowledge of data loss prevention and firewalls
• Experience supporting technical audits as a subject matter expert
