Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Build and maintain the data platform that supplies operational teams and decision makers with timely, accurate data, working alongside data scientists, analysts and DevOps.

What you will do

• Create and run new pipelines that move data through the platform
• Design observability tooling and metrics for monitoring data quality
• Build pipeline solutions driven by metadata
• Tune and monitor data transformation jobs
• Integrate data from external third party sources

What they look for

• Degree in a quantitative discipline such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics or data science
• Four or more years working in software engineering
• Hands on experience with at least one major cloud provider such as AWS, GCP or Azure
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools and practices
• Skilled at manipulating large datasets with SQL and Python

Nice to have

• A master's degree in a quantitative field
• Hands on work with AWS and Terraform
• Track record designing ELT or ETL workflows
• Python programming experience

Pay

USD 140,000 to 175,000 per year
