Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

Protect the organization's systems by assessing vulnerabilities, running security controls and responding to incidents. The position combines hands-on testing with monitoring, forensics and policy work.

What you will do

• Run vulnerability assessments and penetration tests, then document weaknesses and remediation advice
• Analyze security logs and investigate suspicious activity
• Deploy and configure firewalls, IDS, IPS, EDR, zero trust and SIEM solutions
• Monitor alerts, respond to breaches and manage access controls and security policies
• Develop incident response plans and perform forensic analysis to find root causes
• Research emerging threats and recommend new security technologies

What they look for

• Seven or more years of professional cybersecurity or related experience
• Hands-on work with firewalls, IDS, IPS, EDR, zero trust, DLP, SIEM and vulnerability assessment tools
• Knowledge of attack vectors, security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001, and compliance rules like GDPR and HIPAA
• Understanding of network protocols, topologies and devices including routers, switches and firewalls
• Scripting ability in Python or PowerShell plus command line and Windows, Linux and macOS familiarity
• Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
