A production support and enhancement role for an experienced DataStage developer. The person resolves defects, delivers changes and works directly with clients on ETL pipelines under service level agreements.
What you will do
- Own DataStage production incidents end to end, from root cause analysis and fixes to regression testing and deployment
- Implement and test enhancement and change requests following release and development lifecycle processes
- Design, build and optimize DataStage jobs, including parallel jobs, for batch and real-time integration
- Tune DataStage jobs, Oracle SQL and UNIX processes to meet service level agreements
- Monitor and troubleshoot production ETL pipelines, responding to alerts and following incident procedures
- Design, monitor and maintain job schedules and dependencies with Control M or similar tools
What they look for
- IBM InfoSphere DataStage experience, including job design, parallel jobs and parameterization
- Strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, with query tuning, indexes and partitioning awareness
- Solid UNIX or Linux skills, including shell scripting, logs and file handling
- Production scheduling with Control M or similar, covering dependencies, calendars and alerts
- Proven record resolving production ETL issues under service level agreement pressure
