Director of Programme Development

A senior leadership role shaping the organisation's programmes worldwide so they are evidence-led, impactful and aligned with strategic priorities, while driving quality, innovation, learning and growth.

What you will do

• Lead strategic development of programmes, aligned with organisational priorities and growth ambitions
• Oversee programme frameworks, policies and country strategies so they translate into effective practice
• Champion research, impact measurement and organisational learning and embed evidence-based decisions
• Develop innovation approaches, including pilots and gathering evidence to guide future direction
• Represent the organisation with governments, partners and external stakeholders

• Significant experience in international development and a record of shaping organisational strategy
• Experience leading programme development, design, quality improvement, learning and research in complex international contexts
• Experience overseeing research, learning, monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement
• A track record of building and developing high-performing multicultural teams and leading through influence
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and a strong understanding of safeguarding
