About the role

Underwrite and bind eligible risks for a wholesale specialty insurance group, building a profitable book and strong retail agency ties across a central region.

What you will do

• Quote, underwrite and bind risks that fall within granted authority and set rules
• Cultivate retail agency ties and open new business channels
• Grow a profitable, well-managed book through careful risk selection and quick service
• Apply market and portfolio knowledge to make sound calls and build carrier trust
• Link retail partners to wider specialist resources and market access when a risk needs it

What they look for

• Current insurance license plus excess and surplus wholesale experience
• Solid technical underwriting ability and good risk selection judgment
• Existing retail agency relationships and a record of profitable business growth
• Commercial, solution-focused outlook with strong negotiation and communication skills
• Entrepreneurial, relationship-led approach to business development

Pay

USD 90,000 to 120,000 per year
