Financial Crimes Quality Assurance Analyst II

About the role

A second line of defense quality assurance role covering financial crimes oversight across anti money laundering, sanctions and fraud. The analyst checks that oversight work is consistent, accurate and aligned with regulatory expectations.

What you will do

• Carry out detailed quality reviews of second line casework, memos and decisions
• Judge whether risk based conclusions are properly supported and documented
• Assess how well oversight issues are spotted, escalated and closed out
• Write up findings with root cause, impact and a severity rating
• Work with stakeholders to settle findings and confirm fixes worked
• Help regulatory exams by showing the rigor of oversight and QA work

What they look for

• Bachelor degree in finance, business, risk management or a similar area
• Three to five or more years in financial crimes work such as AML, sanctions or fraud
• Direct experience in second line compliance oversight or in QA testing of financial crimes functions
• Solid grasp of BSA/AML and sanctions regulatory expectations
• Knowledge of second line duties within a three lines of defense model
• Familiarity with financial crime risk frameworks and governance practices
