Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You prepare simulations, build trusted reference results and code checks for the agent output.

What you will do

• Set up and run fluid simulations from CAD geometry
• Create verified reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python checks that evaluate the agent results
• Assess AI agent performance on expert simulation work

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy or oil and gas
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, including mesh independence studies
• Comfortable using Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
• A PhD is preferred but not required
