Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

Train and assess AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You prepare and run simulations, create verified reference answers and write Python checks on the agent output.

What you will do

• Set up and run CFD simulations from CAD geometry
• Build reference solutions that have been verified
• Write Python scripts to check the agent's results
• Train and evaluate AI agents on fluid simulation tasks

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent, CFX or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh independence studies and comparison with experiments or benchmarks
• Working knowledge of Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase or particle-laden flows
• A PhD is preferred but not required
