Freelance Mechanical CFD Engineer, AI Trainer

About the role

A freelance role training and assessing AI agents on advanced fluid simulation work. You prepare simulation cases, produce trusted reference results and script automated checks of the agent's output.

What you will do

• Set up and run CFD simulations starting from CAD geometry
• Create verified reference solutions for simulation tasks
• Write Python scripts that check the agent's results
• Evaluate AI agent performance on expert fluid simulation work

What they look for

• Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or energy, oil and gas or a similar field
• Several years of practical CFD work in industry or research, meshing included
• Hands-on use of OpenFOAM, ANSYS Fluent or CFX, or STAR-CCM+
• Experience with verification and validation, such as mesh-independence studies and benchmark comparisons
• Comfortable working with Python and GitHub
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Background in aerospace, automotive, offshore or turbomachinery
• Experience with multiphase flows or flows carrying particles
