Medical Virtual Biller (RCM, Authorizations and Verification)

About the role

The role covers end-to-end revenue cycle management for a remote operations team, with a strong focus on verifying patient benefits, tracking maximum benefits and coordinating payer documentation.

What you will do

• Verify insurance coverage, policy status, copays, deductibles and benefit limits before service
• Start, track and follow up on authorizations and letters of authorization with payers
• Draft and submit letters of intent and medical necessity with clinical documentation
• Handle charge entry, claim submission, payment posting and accounts receivable follow-up
• Keep detailed records of payer contacts and authorizations in EHR and practice management systems
• Maintain strict HIPAA compliance throughout all billing work

What they look for

• At least two to three years of hands-on US medical billing, virtual assisting or RCM experience
• Proven skill in insurance verification, benefit tracking and securing authorizations and letters of intent
• Familiarity with major US EHR and practice management platforms and clearinghouse portals
• Strong written and spoken English for contact with US insurers, patients and colleagues
• A reliable high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps
• A quiet, secure and HIPAA-compliant home office
